( Her brother Rhys had married an Ada Box who was a spiritualist, and delighted in teasing poor old Edith about it. )She was engaged when young, but she became crippled from consumption, and had her leg amputated. She then broke off the engagement, despite her fiancee's plees. He then married another woman who was ironically a cripple. | ||||||||||
